When we finally finished ASCII Animator program, we realized why there's no similar program before. Because it's completely useless! I can't think of anyone want to convert an animated GIF image to animated ASCII art. Anyway, we continue to upgrade this program for no reasons.
ASCII Animator 2.0 updates: ASCII Animator finally supports 64-bit Windows. ASCII Animator version 1.x doesn't work on Windows 7 64-bit or Windows 8 64-bit.
ASCII Animator 1.8 updates: The exported HTML file code is optimized. The file size is much smaller.
ASCII Animator 1.6 updates: Thanks to Maslov Konstantin's suggestions, ASCII Animator now can export actual animated ASCII art which can be played on web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Mozilla FireFox. To export actual animated ASCII art, click menu Settings -> Settings..., select option "Animated ASCII Art (.html)".
ASCII Animator 1.4 updates: Able to export coloured ASCII art. To export coloured image, click menu Settings -> Settings..., select option "Coloured Animated ASCII Art (.gif)".
ASCII Animator 1.2 updates: The exported animated ASCII art was actually played backwards. It's hard to tell whether a gif image is played forwards or backwards. This bug has been fixed.
Some animated ASCII art samples created by ASCII Animator are listed below. Click on an image to watch it.
